Early Morning Warriors

Sunrise, isn't it beautiful?

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Savage World post. It’s a little late for myself on starting the day here at the office. Now don’t give me that evil stare over there for being so chipper at 7:45 AM.

Mornings, personally I love them and most people hate them. It’s understandable you would rather stay nice and warm in your bed, instead of getting up to face the cold world.  Maybe it’s time to change that and how to make your mornings run a little smoother.

Like most people in the morning you don’t like getting out of bed as stated above. Because the bed is warm, safe, and comfortable. The day ahead of you never looks as good as a pillow or a spouse. Also the daily routine of getting out of bed, taking a shower, waking the kids, and finally getting your coffee. Doesn’t sound like much fun, huh?

Well let me give you some quick tips to help you become more of a early morning warrior, instead of just going through the motions. One key I like to do is to workout in the morning. YUCK, Right? Wrong, it’s actually helps set the pace for the rest of your day. You don’t even need to do it long.

For example, my wife (Alyssa) isn’t like me and not morning person. In fact she hates it! So we use to be the couple that ran around like a chicken with it’s head cut off. Then we came up with the idea of running every other morning and doing 20-30 minutes on Wii Fit Plus the other mornings. It may sound funny and like something little, but it works! This gives us the charge every morning to start our days right. Also we end up having more time after our workout and daily routine to visit for a few minutes.

Another way and a much harder way is to just wake up thirty minutes then you are use to. Yea, sounds bad right? Why get up if you don’t need to. The world can wait as you hit the snooze button one more time. Stop hitting that button and start getting out of bed! Trust me the longer you are up the more awake you will be in the office. Being more awake means you are more productive and more productive means better work.

Yes, it’s hard to be a morning warrior, but you can do it. Just take a breath and get out of bed. Baby steps in the morning and take away your crazy mornings. When you go to work with a clear head and not rushed, then your day will just be better.

Tonight come up with a plan to start either tomorrow, next week, or after Thanksgiving.  Share your plans with us too or share with us your routine right now at the comment section below.  It will be hard to master your morning, but once you master your morning you can start mastering your day!

You need to be a warrior in this Savage World, so you’re no longer living it but owning it!

Making a “to do” list the night before and plan your day accordingly is also a fantastic way to promote productivity and enhance the morning habit. When you put pen to paper, I guarantee you will accomplish much more than if you don’t.
