Staying Young

Stay Young and Have fun!

Sounds like a great idea, forever young. Life was easier back then! What would you do if you could go back? Would you stay out late at night and keep your parents staying up sick with worry? Remember the time of our youth? On how easy it was, but yet how hard it was?

Funny, how when we are young we want to grow up so fast. As we get older we want to go back to the freedom of our youth more then anything.  It seems like we have to be business all the time and keep a strict face. Where is the balance that allows to be kids at our age?

My father-in-law Walt, stated “You are only as old as you feel.” Let me tell you something, Walt is one of the youngest looking men I have met his age. We won’t state his age here. It’s true though, think on it. If you feel young and truly believe you are younger then you are. Then guess what, you are most likely feel that age.

Now I am saying go out and dress like your twenty year old daughter when you are in your fifties. What, I am saying is feel that youthful freshness that you yearn for. It’s there right in front of you. All you have to do is do the right moves to make it there.

To get this and the state of mind is try find something you use to love to do when you were young and do it four to five a week!  Stay in shape, work out at least three times a week. By getting your mind and body into a younger state of mind will help build a better world for yourself.

That youth energy will help you become more productive at work.  The youthful mindset will build your ego and your energy throughout the days.

Now that you are working towards a more youthful mind, don’t forget the adult in you. Remember the difference between right and wrong. Don’t forget to act like an adult 50% of the time to help maintain that business attitude. Finding the balance is what is key and only you can find that balance.

This is just another step in this Savage World and you’re no longer just living in it anymore, but you’re on the way to owning it!!

    Dear James,

You picked a great quote to work with. In fact, I’ve had a chance to read your other blogs and am very impressed with all of them. I have a couple of other quotes that fit with your blogs. First,
“The harder I work, the luckier I get” It seems you are in for a lot of good luck based on your blog about how busy you are. And finally,
“Be sure to take care of your father-in-law if he ever gets old.” This is a relatively new one. How do you like it?

    Love you,

    Walt

      Walt,

I love the new quote and thanks for the hearty response. Though about this new quote, I think the key word is IF he ever gets old. I don’t think my father-in-law knows the meaning of the word old.

      Thanks,
      James
