Surviving the Rainy Day Blues

Always a Rainbow

Good morning to everyone here in the Savage World. Here in Lexington, KY we have an ugly day ahead of use. The weather calls for wind, rain, and some cold air coming in. Sounds pretty awful right?

Honestly, rainy days don’t bug me to much anymore. Yes, they are dark, gloomy, ugly and puts everyone in a rotten funk.  Even though it’s ugly outside, you still have a chance to make it beautiful inside.

The rain brings life to the ground and helps the grass, tress, plants, etc. grow. Just like the rain helping the plants, let it help you today instead of getting down. Don’t let the rain bring you down and stop wishing for it to go away.

Many people really get affected by the weather and blame the bad mood on the rain, wind, snow, etc. When in all honestly it’s just an excuse.  Everything is an excuse lately with some people out there.  It’s an excuse to be upset and negative about your life and world. When really you shouldn’t let it slap you around. Instead embrace the weather, see it as bringing life to you.

Remember as a child you use to love snow days! Come on who didn’t love waking up to find out there was no school? A chance to play all day in the snow with friends and family? Now that your older you have to work and the snow/rain can just annoy you. It’s time to grab the child inside you. Go take a walk in the rain today and enjoy it. Be a kid again even for 15 minutes. You will be amazing how good you feel.

Though, truly if that doesn’t work and you still hate the weather out. Just focus on what makes you happy. Your child, husband/wife, puppy, cat, etc. Do some jumping jacks. Just find that spark to get you in a good mood. Being in a bad mood and blaming it on the rain is a poor excuse. Sorry Milli Vanilli, but blaming it on the rain doesn’t work.

Carpe diem everyone! You can do it! Even though it’s raining inside and out, remember a rainbow is about to come out. Focus on that rainbow and maybe you will get to see the double rainbow!

Staying positive even on rainy days is key! This is just another small step in this Savage World, that you aren’t just living in, but beginning to own!
