Letting the Rope Go

Just let it go!

Everyone has enemies, people they can’t stand, and issue they can never let go of. We hold onto these ropes with friends, family members, enemies, coworkers, etc. It’s time to start letting go of these ropes and move on with your life. What does holding onto the rope do for you? Nothing, but leaving you bitter and hateful.

For examples, your brother/sister was horrible a few years ago and did some horrible deeds to you.  Or your best friend hurt you beyond belief and you haven’t spoken with each other for years.

What if you never had the chance to make amends? What if tomorrow is too late? Finding out that the problems you had been never resolved and it was too late to make the amends in person. This is what holding the rope does. It burns your hands and leaves scars into your hands and memory. Nothing productive at all.

Usually when you hold the rope the person on the other end is doing the same. All parties involved could be upset, which leaves you playing tug of war. Let it go, be the bigger person and air out your issues. You may be surprised with the changes. Heck, you may even get your family member or friend back.

We all hold are ropes, but don’t let that rope be the noose on a relationship because you were too stubborn to reach out.  Even I hold and held ropes, still learning to let go of them myself. If anything this past year has taught me, is to let go and do the best I can to reach out to everyone. No more holding my anger in, just reaching out with open arms. We all make mistakes and in time all can be forgiven.

Letting go of the rope is key in this Savage World. No longer are you just living in it, but beginning to own it!
