Surviving the Holiday Slump

Santa Laptop is making a list!

It’s that time of the year again everyone. The time when there is a little chill in the air, Christmas trees are being placed up in people houses, throw in some never ending gift shopping, and finally everyone losing focus on work. Reason being, they are ready to get away for a few days for the holidays.

Let me guess, you’re one of them? You can’t wait to spend some much needed time with the family. You want the year to end and start fresh in 2011. I know, we all do and we all get lazy around this time of year. Which makes sense, the year is almost over and with everything going on from gifts to traveling it’s hard.

Just last with me real fast, don’t get all lazy right now. Few more minutes, then you can go back to travel plans and gift shopping.

This is what we need to do, stay focus for just another 20 days! You can do it! Trust me, it’s hard but not that hard. The key word is focus! We all know how to focus when we have it. Guess what? You still got to stay focused! Don’t just do the motions to get through the day, that’s not going to cut it.

Remember what you get done today, doesn’t need to be done tomorrow. It’s the slow time of the year so  get ahead! Do all the work you can while others slack. It will look great to your clients and your boss. Show them that you can work threw the hardest time of the year. It’s hard but you can stay sharp and focus. This is great training for doing your job normally. Staying focus and sharp is a great ability to have.

Now go back to all your holiday plans and gift shopping. While you are shopping remember about this Savage right here, he enjoys gifts.

Learning how to survive the holiday slump is key in this Savage World; that you aren’t just living in, but beginning to own!
