Being Forgotten

Don't be forgotten

The other night I was watching one of my favorite shows with my wife.  Some of you may know the show,  “Bones.”  In this episode that I watched, it drew to the fact in what you do in life will get you remembered. Really kicked started my brain on a snowing night.

The main character if you don’t know is very successful in her field. In fact some would say one of the best. Though the case showed a mirror of her with a person who was one of the best in their field. The issue was, the person was missing for a few months to a year and no one reported her missing.  Reasons being, she didn’t have family, friends, or loved one to care for.

This brings me to my point on this snowy Monday morning.  Is you can be super successful, make tons of money, and have all the “friends” in the world.  Though, if have no one to care for to share the money, happiness, and good times with, it is truly a waste.  Love your job, but make time for your friends and family. You’re real friends, not the ones that only come around because you have something they need.

If you go your through life and shut off your family and friends just for a buck. You truly will die old, alone, and forgotten. No matter how much money or how successful you are, you can still be forgotten in time. It’s what you do to impact the lives around you that makes you a success.

Remember where you came from, reach out to friends and family, and don’t end up being alone. If you don’t, who will miss when you’re gone? Who caring on your name and memory? Think on it.

This is a key in not just living in this Savage World, but beginning to own.
