Dealing with Negative Responses

Just Stop yelling...

Good morning world! Hope this Monday after Christmas finds you well and safe. Now that you had a few days break of my voice and ramblings, it’s time to get started on this Savage World!!

The other day I was on a pretty good natural life loving high. Everything was just amazing and nothing could go wrong. Then, wait a minute, something did happen that was a little interesting. (Don’t worry, I have a  point)

Anyways, here we were everyone having a good time and enjoying the day. Then someone made a pretty rude comment to me without looking directly at me. Honestly, it was really hurtful, but I responded with a little note that it hurt and just moved on. The person clearly was upset over actions of myself or other people. They clearly wanted to be grumpy, upset and mad.

Now, I could have yelled back or snap back in a mean way. Instead, decided that you can’t stoop to someone’s level like that. They want to be mean, hurtful, and say bad things out of the blue, then maybe they need that time to themselves.

Many times people get upset, mad, and down right mean for their own reasons. If you don’t know the reasons of what happen, what you have done, etc. it makes it hard to come back on a sound head. Sometimes, it’s better to let that person cool down and come back to you with maybe with an easier attitude.

This is the time you have to be the bigger person and let the issue go. Don’t let a bully or jerk ruin your day. Also don’t fight back with your hurtful words or fist, that does nothing but give them the joy of bringing you down to their level.

It’s hard to resist the urge to fight back and defend those rude comments to you. Sometimes, you just have to play it like water off your back and let it flow away. If you don’t, then you land in the downward spiral and the fight begins. This all goes with letting the rope go and moving on.

Just letting it slide is great advice in this Savage World, that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
