Enjoy the Moment

Live and enjoy it!

The other day I was working a basketball game as a mascot. (Something I do on the side) This is one of my true joys in life, I get to make people smile, laugh, and just have fun. Personally, I enjoy every moment I am in that big blue outfit.

Fast forward three hours after the game and I was sitting on the sofa watching a movie. I realized that the day was over in a blink, all the pain, heat, smiles, and laughs that happen during the game was gone. This got myself thinking about embracing the moment even more than I do.

In life we go through everything so fast in no time at all. What happens right now becomes five minutes in the past and parts forgotten. By taking in every moment that comes to you good and bad is needed. Remember that everything comes to pass and the future is always bright. Just don’t forget the moment you are living in, good or bad it is still an experience.

When I played sports as a kid a motto I went with was, “Pain is temporary, Pride is Forever!” In other words, good or bad, it’s what you do that makes it meaningful. All this plays out in the moment, so embrace it. Even if it’s painful and hurts, it will pass very quickly. Handle yourself right and enjoy every moment you can!

Living in the moment is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer living in, but beginning to own!
