The Joys of Planning

Are we there yet?

In this fast pace world of big spending, busy working, and fast cars. we are always wanting everything and wanting it now! Why do you wait anymore when you can get dinner from fast food chain or microwave? Why walk when you can drive?  Everyone wants it now and can’t wait anymore. Now myself, I am a giant planner and though I may want stuff right now, I understand it takes time to get to what is wanted.

It’s been almost five-year since I joined the Savage Syndication’s team and it has been one heck of a roller coaster. Every year during the final week the partners get together to plan for the coming year. Everything is planned out piece by piece, number by number, and month by month. Now we are seeing the fruits of our labor and beginning to enjoy the plans as they come to life. Without these plans, we may still be lost.

It’s understandable how most of the world wants the response right now and can’t wait for it. Though true success comes in time and not over night. It’s like working on landing a new sale. A fast sale maybe awesome, but usually they don’t last and only come once. It’s the building of that relationship and the longer sale that can lead to long time client with higher success.

In my world I handle things like I handle my business. By planning out every little detail and yes it can be very annoying to someone who doesn’t know me or even if you do know me. Personally, I need every single step laid out so there no confusion on what is going with little surprises.

If you take the time to plan your trip, business, sales goal, and events, in the end you will be happier than before. This helps clear all confusion and if you follow the plan for the most part, success will come. Yes, plans can get sidetracked and go of course by the unexpected. When that happens, be prepared and adjust as needed to get back on the right track.

Planning is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer living in, but beginning to own!
