Embracing Those Embarrassing Moments

Don't be too embarrassed!

Ever been embarrassed? Sure you have! At one point in your life and probably more than once, you will have a pretty embarrassing moment.

At that moment the embarrassing event happens, you feel like you could just die, right? Everyone seems to be pointing their fingers and laughing at you.  How do you respond to that? Do you cry, run away, or just take a step back to find the humor?

The best thing to do is just take that step back and adjust to what just happen. We all make mistakes in life that are pretty funny and if you don’t have silly stories about yourself, then let’s be honest, you’re boring.  If you sit there and cry when the moment happens, you aren’t doing yourself any favors. People see how you respond by either feeling bad or enjoying it. You don’t want that on either side.

If you just let it slide off your back, you can come out looking like a million bucks, because you can take that joke. Now I state embarrassing moments you cause yourself, not torment from others, that’s another issue. Remember everything comes to pass. Whatever is so embarrassing today won’t be in a few days. Put that chin up and stand tall, remember what happen and share it with your peers to make fun of yourself down the road.

If you embrace your embarrassing moments it will not only make you stronger but more confident on issues that make you nervous. It’s a hard trick to learn, but you can do it.

Just remember, in the end it doesn’t matter how many times you fall on your butt. It’s how you respond to falling on your butt by standing up or staying down.

Embarrassing moments are often in this Savage World; that you are no longer living in, but beginning to own!
