Stop Being Bitter!

Ugly Isn't it?

Lately, I have been noticing a trend with people and it’s about as pretty as that face. Bitterness, bitterness is everywhere lately. It use to be okay, so here and there someone is bitter; gotcha, but now it’s everywhere you turn.

For example, I go to a store like Express at the mall and want good service. Nope, you have a bitter little helper walking around with an attitude or some bitterness to them. Leaving you with a bad taste in your mouth figuring out why you are shopping there.

It’s not just workers, its people who cry about everything on their social media page. They hate this and that and just can’t get over all their anger. Really, people time to drop the bitterness.

It’s sad to see now-a-days everyone just so bitter and angry. What I have to ask everyone who is mad at people for being happy, productive, successful, etc. Why so serious? Why so bitter?

Goes back to my old post of the grass is always greener, check it out for reference. The thing is people want what they don’t have or what they lost in the past. They feel the need to slam people down without even realizing it. I get it people, you’re mad at the world, but the world isn’t mad at you.

An old sales tool I learned when I worked in the games department at King’s Island from my mentor/manager Rob Horton stated; “No matter how bad your day is, the guest has no clue about it and doesn’t deserve to have their day ruin by your hateful attitude.” That saying got me through at times and was kind of my motto when I moved on in my life. No matter how bad you feel, you can’t spread the hate and bring others down.

Today, the message again is drop that bitter attitude, because it just brings nothing but negative attitude and more heartache. You can be mad, hurt, sad, etc, but don’t take it out on others who aren’t involved in that issue.

Not being bitter is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer living in, but beginning to own!
