Laughing With The Past

Just have fun!!

This past weekend my old college roommate of four years came into visit for the night.  Now it hasn’t been too long since we hung out, but it’s been long enough. Yet every time we meet up it’s like we never left and just pick up where we left off. Mainly stories of the past and a lot of times spent just laughing of old stories.

Funny, how back then it was so serious and it meant so much. Now we look back and just find the humor in all the stories. Never just laughing at each other, but laughing with the stories and with each other on the old moments.

This brings me to the lesson today and that’s to embrace the past and just laugh it out. When you’re in the moment everything is just so important, but really in a matter of hours or days it becomes the past. No need to dwell on it, but just enjoy it and smile big.

Remember this one thing, this too will come to pass. It’s a lesson we all know, but never really follow. Many times people get upset and hold those grudges, instead of just letting it go. Laughing with the past is the best remedy to all your problems back then. No matter how dark the day is today, it will become brighter soon enough.

So when you get down, remember the past and how funny it can be at times. Laugh with the old you about all the stupid things and how serious it once was. Trust me, it’s one of the best remedies you can use.

Laughing at the past is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
