Facing a Tidal Wave

Face Your Fears!

One of the unstoppable forces in this world is a tidal wave. Once the big wave gets started, it is basically unstoppable. All amounts of fighting it will just result in death.

When face to face with a tidal wave, you can either stand your ground hoping to survive the blast or run and seek higher ground. Usually in everyday life, we will face tidal waves that we just can’t escape.

A tidal wave in your life will happen more than once and most of the time you have to just stand there to take the blast.  They come in the form of parents, friends, coworkers, clients, and your boss. You can see the wave coming about a mile away most of the time. This allows you a few moments to prepare before the blast.

Sometimes, we cause a tidal wave in the ocean through the mistakes we make. Sure, you can run from your mistake and skip the tidal wave all together on higher ground. Though, in all honestly you can only run so long before the water levels reach your hiding spot and the flood gates open.

Truly the best way to face a tidal wave is to face it head on. Place all your guts on the table and take the punch of water to your whole body. Sometimes, the tidal wave looks bigger in the distance and could crest and break before it reaches your feet.

The trick is just standing up and facing your wave. Running does nothing but cause more pain to you and the ones you love. Being a real person is to face it head on and not shy away from it. Yes, it’s going to hurt hard, but it will be done and over with instead of flooding your thoughts.

Facing your tidal wave is facing your fears, issues, and problems head on. No way to avoid, just deal with the wrongs you done face to face.  Don’t run from your issues anymore. Stand up and face the wave head on!

Meeting your tidal wave head on is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer living in, but beginning to own!
