Dropping Your Negative Attitude

Feels like this at time huh?

Ever turn on your Facebook account and have about fifty post from friends that are just so negative? Or you go into work and your co-workers are just all in a foul mood? Doesn’t it just get to you and wish they would learn how to let it go? Or are you one of those people?

Now, I don’t work with many people, so what I see most of the day is the positive and negative post from many friends on social media outlets. It’s truly hard to stomach some people and their negative reactions to the world. To sum it up, 8 times out of 10, someone is mad, sad, or upset about something.

Now my question to everyone that use social media sites, is do you realize mass people read this stuff? The thing is, yes you want to vent about stuff and air it out.  That is a great thing to do if it’s here and there and not every minute of the day. The problem is people start seeing you as a Debbie Downer and really get worried to be around you.

Now if you have that, I don’t care what people think attitude. Then, honestly that I don’t care what you think will drive even the closest of friends away. You know, telling people something like that really lets them know where your friendship stands. Also it’s a load of poo, you do care what people think, everyone does. If you didn’t care why would you post it for everyone to see?

One thing to remember is everyone on your list can read what you write. That is co-workers, friends, family, future employers, etc.  Also when you post and people have a chance to respond, it can become ugly and people may share or go against your negative reactions.

This may sound like a small rant today, but really the lesson to be noted here is be careful what you say and write on social media sites. You truly never know how someone is going to respond. Honestly, you probably won’t like what people have to say. It could cost you a lot more than you think with the vents you do.

In the end, remember who is reading what you write. Drop the I don’t care attitude. Finally, remember the saying, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

Dropping the Negative Attitude is important in this Savage World; that you are no longer living in, but beginning to own!!
