Always Selling

Own it!

In today’s world, like it or not you are a sales person. No matter who you are or what you do, you are always selling your abilities to everyone around you. No, not in a bad way.

The thing people forget sometimes is that we are always selling who we are to the people around us. This can range from going on a first date to interviewing for a job.

Many people forget this and just go about what they want to do without a care of others. Which was an okay thought process in maybe middle school or high school. Even then, people are still judging you and trying to figure out if you are good for their social group, relationship, or job.

The key is to be yourself and not get caught up in being someone you aren’t. Remember though if you want that better job, that new girlfriend to like you, etc. You may need to go out of your comfort zone and take new risk.

The risk may include trying new food or dressing a little nicer.  Most of the time it’s not what you look like, but what you do. The things you do to earn people trust, love, etc. is key to building those relationships. Just work hard, be friendly, dress decently, and most importantly be yourself. That perfect mix will have you were you want to be, happy and in a new state of mind.

Knowing that you are always selling is great in this Savage World; that you are no longer living in, but beginning to own!

One Response to Always Selling

  1. Yes I agree we are always selling no matter what or where we are at in life. To be oneself is so important these days and to be totally honest I think is probably the most important thing a business person can do! Great Post!
