Staying Focus on a Sunny Day

Beautiful Days

I am not sure where you are at in the world, but here in Lexington, KY it has been rainy day after rainy day. We finally caught a break the past two days with some sun.

A few times, this blog has talked about how to handle those rainy days. Today, lets switch it up and discuss how to handle the beautiful sunny days.

In spring after all the rain is gone and a beautiful sunny day appears, the lack of motivation can disappear. No, I am not talking about those hot summer days, but those beautiful spring days that hold the best weather.

When it is beautiful out and you are stuck at work, all you want to do is run away and play in the sun.  Why not, right? It’s beautiful out and your stuck inside your office building doing your work with the clock stuck at 3:00 PM. How can we make this time go by faster and still be productive?

Hard question to answer, because it is so beautiful outside. This is when you need to focus the most. More than any rainy day can give, because sunny days are great though hard to work through.

One way to handle this is find a task that can really focus your skills and mind. Others will come around and try to talk with you about the beautiful weather. Just relax, smile and agree then go back to work. If you really work your mind and focus at the task at hands, you will see the clock move from 3 to 5 in no time at all.

Another way is to try not to face outside and ignore the sun for a few hours. It should still be there in a few hours when you get off work with more than enough time to enjoy it.

The final way we will hit today is setting a goal. When you notice your slacking a little and feeling like you aren’t doing your best. Then, sent a goal of the day to work towards. Build up this goal and work to get it done before the end of the day. After the clock chimes for the end of the day and you reach your goal, then you did it! You survived the lack of productive because the sun was calling you.

Many more tricks are out there to keep your focus and we would love to hear what you do. Please share the comments below.

Staying productive through beautiful days is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
