Positive Force At Work!


The office drama and politics can be an interesting way of life sometimes. Everyone has a story in your office. No matter where or who you work for, rumors, gossip, myth, and legends are made every day.  It’s important to try to avoid the negative gossip and focus more on the positive aspects of the company you are with.

It’s easy to get into a bad mood when everyone around you is talking bad about your fellow coworkers. For example, you’re standing at the water cooler with Tina. Janet just walks by and Tina starts talking about Janet did xyz with abc and only got the position because of it. Now you can nod your head and agree, go in more details about it, or try to change the topic.

People love drama, why do you think we all sit down and watch the dramas on television? It’s cause we love watching drama unfold and like feeling like we aren’t the only ones with the drama. In turn some people like to continue that in their every day life.

Now if you are like me and just hates drama, then there is one easy solution with office drama. That’s positive thinking! Be a positive person and just enjoy your work. Yes, this will cause people to become upset with you and try to bring you down. That’s okay, it means it is working. The more positive you are the more productive you are and the more your boss/manager notices you as a key a member of the team. Plus in time your coworkers will come around to you.

Besides who wants to live down in the dumps, making fun of other people in the office. Instead of stirring stories up about Janet, when issues are brought up, talk her up instead. Don’t worry your coworker may give you a weird look and may even be mad at you. That’s okay, because soon people will realize that you’re a nice person and talk about other coworkers in a positive way.

Stay positive at work, make legends out of your coworkers not hate. Bring out your smile every day when you step into your office. Enjoy it and embrace it. Ignore that negative attitude and enjoy the positive kind.

Being positive at work is key in this Savage world; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
