Being a Goal Setter

Build your bridge to the goal.

No matter who you are, you have made some form of goal for yourself daily. Even if it’s as small as your goal for getting the trash out, you set a goal. Most of our goals are usually bigger, for example as a kid you set a goal to be the President of the United States of America or to go to the moon. Yes, they are dreams to and these old goals have been replaced time and time again with new ones, more realistic ones. Goals, are very important in our day-to-day life.

At work your boss makes the goals that are needed for the year, month, week, and sometime days. It is then your job to make goals to build into your schedule for what needs to be done to help meet these goals. By meeting these goals set by yourself and your boss. This helps make the company and work environment more productive, which equals more enjoyment.

People all have different ways to do their goals. Some write the goals on a dry erase board then takes the time to mark down every milestone. (Yes that is what I do) Others aren’t as visual, they build a to do list for themselves and mark it off as they go (either in their head or on paper).  No matter what you do, as long as you set the goal and complete them in the time frame you are on the right track.

As you notice when you were a child, your goals were called dreams and just to far out of reach for most. Now as an adult you see that you can achieve most goals if you just buckle down and work towards it. Nothing is a “dream” but a reality if you want it bad enough. Only thing you have to do is work very hard towards it.

Will you have failed goals during your lifetime? Yes, probably a lot, but will you learn from failed goals? Very much so and that makes you work to your new goals with more power. Nothing is out of reach, no matter what the world tells you. These dreams of yours can be turned into goals, as long as you treat them like goals.

Using goals in your life is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
