Respecting the Ones You Care For

In my life, I would give the shirt off my back if it would help a friend in need. Many of us do this, right? It’s a common thing, right? Well, lately, what I have been seeing is a more lean towards the selfish side of things. This is something we need to do start doing less of and starting giving a helping hand.

Walk a mile in your friend’s or foe’s shoes, understand who they are and what is going in their world. Ignoring a friend in need,  even if they aren’t a great friend can cause major ripples in their world. Backing out on trips, events, or just down right ignoring every single invitation can destroy a friendship.

You may not want to keep certain friendships, that’s okay, you don’t need to keep friends and can distance yourself, but at least hint it to them. Tell them, hey we just aren’t clicking anymore. Yes, it’s like a break up, but you need respect them and in time they will understand.

Don’t ever talk down to your friends, coworkers, family members, etc. They may not seem like much to you, but they are connected to you. Respect them and they will respect you. Never treat someone like dirt just because you think you are better than them.

Just remember we all come into this world the same way, we all put our pants on in the morning the same way, and just doesn’t matter if you’re the king of the world or a bum on the street. We all have one giant thing in common, that is feelings. We all feel and we all want to feel the love and respect.

This means, no more stealing, no more violence, no more anything bad to your fellow-man. Just respect your friends, foes, family, strangers, etc. We all go through the same feelings, of fear, love, happy, sad, glad, etc. Just relax and enjoy this life. Don’t live the ones you care for in the dark, lend a helping hand.

Being a good person is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
