Recharging The Battery

Charge it

Some of us are extremely hard workers, we work as long and as much as we can. We can go 7 to 12 days of straight work without sitting down to take a breath. Honestly, this isn’t healthy and today lets take a moment to discuss how to recharge the battery.

Life isn’t about how much work you do, but what you do when you are here. At the end of days, do you want to look back on your life to see it filled with hours and hours of work at a job? Or would you rather see hours of hours of time with people you care for and/or time with just relaxing? Probably the relaxing part. Please note, this is not a suggestion to sit around all day and not work, just more of a chance to refresh yourself.

Yes working more and getting more money is a great thing! What’s not to like about extra money in your account, because you worked longer and harder then the rest? But, what is the cost of this extra money? Friends? Family? Time to recharge? Could be…

The issue is not working, it’s not ever getting the time to relax and recharge yourself. A person who works so much, doesn’t have the time to recharge and get themselves away from their business for more then a few days. This does cause burnout, hatred for the job, annoyances with your friends and family for having time off, etc. Instead it’s best to pull yourself away for the weekend and get some me time, if you don’t you will fall deeper and deeper into negative views.

To be productive as a professional person, you need to recharge. You can’t be the guy on call 24/7, no matter what those books tell you. Those how to be successful books, who say you need to be working 24/7 every day of the year, are lies. To become better, you need time to recharge and reflect. It’s like when you are stuck on the puzzle, leave it alone for a day come back to it and boom there is the piece you were looking for.

Find your puzzle piece by taking a few days off. Don’t work every day, don’t let your job own you, instead own your job. If your boss needs you to work everyday and they aren’t, that’s an issue you that needs to be dealt with. Remember relax a little, don’t neglect other important things in your life, because your boss needs work done and they don’t wanna do it. Remember the important things in your life and esp remember your health and safety.

Recharging your battery is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
