Don’t Miss It

The Words are True

It seems the world is busier now-a-days, people are just in a rush to get to point A and point B. Sometimes, it’s like your life is just a fast whirlwind, just spinning out of control and no way of stopping. You seem to breeze by people and places that use to matter, only to end up home and/or work with your fast pace life.  In the dust of your wind, when you try to look back through it, what will you see?

Most of use will see family and the friends what will you see? Will you miss out on the ones that tried to be there at times, the chances we missed because we were too busy or too cool for others. Lately, this is becoming a growing trend among people.

The thing is everyone listens to their favorite radio station in life, WII FM, What’s In It For Me. Is this really, how you want to look at life? How about what’s in it for my friends and family? Think about a friend that you once knew, who reached out to you, time and time again, only for you to deny them, because you were to busy or too cool. You denied them enough that they are gone and never to be heard from again.

What do you think happens when you reject friends or family or even a coworker who reaches out to you. Their trust in you falls, their respect for you falls, and their thoughts of you can turn negative. Sure you’re busy, sure you can’t travel to see friends, or even meet them half way cause of your busy schedule. A call, text, or e-mail never hurts though, something that small can make a big difference.

The thing you never truly know is what that person you blew off could have done for you. They could have been the best thing on your radio dial of WIIFM, but you blew them off and chances are they aren’t the only ones you did. Slowly your rep drops and people don’t wannabe around you, because you were to busy and cool for everyone.

In the end, since we love that station, it’s best to have a giant network of people you can count on. To do that, it takes a lot of work and effort, you can’t just lay around or breeze by them. You need to work hard to ensure their friendship and let them know you truly care. In the end of it all when your last breeze fails, what will be left? Maybe you needed that kidney from a friend who was left in your dust? Maybe that one friend had the perfect job for you that could have made you rich and happy? Maybe, just maybe they could have helped in a time of need.

Don’t lose track of people who care for you and work on reaching out to you. If you do decide to leave them behind, you may leave to regret it. It’s true you can’t live in the past or hold onto everyone, but the ones who try to hold onto you, don’t place a wall up against. Being busy is just an excuse, esp with e-mails, texts, and cell phones, no one is ever to busy to text a hello, how are you?

Don’t miss a chance of friendship and love in this Savage World, that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
