Happy Halloween 2011

Happy Halloween!!!!

Good morning world and a big happy Halloween to everyone out there! This is on of the best Holidays of the year. Not because you get a ton of candy and get to go from door to door asking for it. This holiday just allows people to break out of their shell and dress up as whatever they like. For one night a year, you can dress up whatever you like and no one will turn their head. Well most people won’t turn their head.

Lets start off with what happen Saturday night, now this year’s costume was one of my favorites. An 80’s rocker outfit and yes it was pretty out there. Anyways, the group of us go out to a local pub after the party. Now it was a more upscale pub and not many people were there. We walk in and the stares hit us hard followed with the muttering under their breath of us.

Now you can do three things with that, leave the place totally embarrassed, you can yell at the people who stare, or walk by them with your head held high and find a sit. We just walked by them and enjoyed our night without batting an eyelash.

The point of the story is, be proud of who you are and what you are doing. Not just on Halloween, go out and be yourself. Show your confidence, be proud of your ideas, how you look, and act. No one should make fun of you because you decided to dress up for Halloween or any day for that.

The flip side of this is also, don’t judge what someone is wearing. At least keep your rude thoughts to yourself. People can hear you mutter and you don’t know how thick their skin is. Watch what you say to someone, what if my group was the kind of people who finally made the big choice to finally let loose and these people made us feel silly.  Chances of letting loose like that again will probably never happen.

In this Halloween remember to have fun and continue to be proud of yourself and what you do! Enjoy the fun we call life and who you are. There is nothing wrong with you and no one can tell you different.

Be free on this Halloween is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!!
