Dealing with the Unknown

Own It!

We all fear the unknown, it is probably one of the scariest things we can’t escape. No matter who you are, many times of your life you are going to face the unknown. For example, which college you are getting into, how are your roommates going to be there, will you get this new job, will the coworkers like you, medical issues, family issues, and relationships. All of these examples throw unknown curve balls at us and it’s how we handle them that make us who we are.

It’s all around us, everyday we go into the world there is some unknown factor that can derail us off the tracks or push up high into the sky. Things you just don’t know can either make us stronger, or break us down. What we need to do, is not let the unknown break us down and cripple us. Like you are facing a strong head wind, you need to stand your ground and walk through the wind at times.

Dealing with your unknown is hard enough, but dealing with your loved ones is very important. The fact is you need to be there for them for their fears of the unknown, they need every bit of courage from you to get them through the scary issues as they help you in the same faucet.

When helping others deal with this fear, you need to hold their hand tell them it will be alright and be there with them on the hard choices that they want you to be apart of. Never ignore the call from a loved one who is reaching out on this certain fear, it’s one that you can’t run from. If you run from helping a loved one, then you’re a coward. Instead grab their hand, help them up, stand tall, face the wind, and start your walk against the strong winds to bring them to the calm sunny days!

The unknown is a hard fear to face alone, but better to face with help. Never be ashamed to ask for a helping hand. Everyone needs it at times and even if you are scared to death, a friend is always waiting. If you are that friend, never turn you back on them, no matter who scared you are too. Show them the strength, your heart, courage, and most importantly your love.

The unknown will never go away, but you can face it. Just remember what is unknown today will be known tomorrow. To focus all of you fear on it, you will learn what needs to be done and conquer that unknown issue. Just one day at a day is all we can do. Stand up and face it head on. The clouds will break way and it will be come clear.

Facing the fear of the unknown is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
