Never Let The Sun Set on a Friend

Don't let it get away!

It maybe an old saying, but it’s true, never let the sun set on your friend. This is kind of tool for life with how you handle your friendships. If someone truly means something to you, then you won’t let the small things  that happen (pending how big) end the friendship. To many times, esp with social media we read or see things that we go into way to much.

The problem with today’s world is everything is done through text, Facebook, e-mail, etc. Way too many times, I see people getting bent out of shape, because someone said something about someone who wasn’t them, but could be them. The thing is we need to remember in text and e-mail, we can not read the tone of the person’s voice, which is one of our number means of communicating with each other.

Instead, if you feel upset with the way someone respond just talk to them directly. Ask them what’s going on and if it was them. If you truly get mad the person, work out what is going on. Maybe something bad is going on their life and they need or maybe you did something wrong. Maybe a little sorry is all you need to do.

If someone reaches out to you to say sorry, don’t ignore it, respond back and talk out the issue. PRIDE gets you no where in life, but alone in your own mind with no one there to be waiting for you. Do you really want to slowly kill off friendships because he/she might have said this or that?  In the end, was that friendship worth wasting, all because of a small issue?

In the end remember the old saying, Never let the sun set on a friend. If you do, you may never ever have that again. It’s a sad thing to lose, don’t lose a friend because they smudge something up.

Forgiving your friends is key in this Savage World, that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
