No One is Too Small

Does he matter?

Companies and people sometimes look down on others as if they aren’t unimportant. The little guys that people seem to forget about in the business and personal world. These people are forgotten quickly, but yet they are the most important tool out there. Think about this before reading on.

To start off the blog today lets discuss how companies act towards the little guys at times and how it can affect them. Customer services reps usually are on the front line and sometimes they just do the daily motions with customers. They can rude, nice, etc. It’s when they are rude that people want to respond. This is because people want to feel like they are important when they are spending money at the store.

As a company they can view whomever is buying the item as just a nameless person giving them money. They don’t care about the life that person leads or whatever is going on. The issue that stems is when that small time customer has an issue. They may even call headquarters to complain. This is when the company either shines or fails. If headquarters tell em how it is and basically tells them to move on that is poor customers service and this is what branches.

The branch of the company ignoring the complaints of a client is this. The customer is more annoyed, will never shop at X-mart again. This customer then tells all their friends, who tells all their friends, posts it all over Twitter and Facebook.  Going back to the company that was a very bad idea not to listen to this tiny customer.

For example this summer Nintendo decide not to release a giant game that their customers wanted here in America. This started a rebellion against Nintendo on a gaming site, that lead to a Facebook group page, which grew into couple thousand plus not supporting Nintendo until they promised to bring it over. End result before Nintendo cave in, was a giant lose in sales and faith in the company on the customer viewpoint. What Nintendo did was make a stance on what they wanted here in America and by not listening to their clients they saw a giant dip in sales.

If you are a company head or customer service rep, then heed these words. Listen to your client, be nice, and remember no one is to small for you. If you blow someone off, chances are they will remember that and it will fester in them. Do it on the wrong day and a rebellion against your company could happen.

Now this goes the same for people and in their every day lives. If you think some of your friends or family members are small potatoes, then you have to rethink your view-point. Someone may seem small to you now and unimportant, but there will be a day you may need them or even miss them. Ignoring family or friends is hurtful, think of it happening to you. Someone truly ignores you and you were amazing friends or family members. Hurts, doesn’t it?

My theory is no one is too small to talk. Everyone has a story that needs to be heard. Companies need to look out for all their clients and make sure they are providing the best service no matter how big or small. Friends and family members need to remember, that they are human and no one should be unworthy of their love because they aren’t paid high enough, cool enough, or connected enough.

Seeing no one as too small, is key in this Savage World; that you no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
