Making the Sun Come Out on a Rainy Day

Always something magical in the rainy day.

Down here in Lexington, KY it’s a pretty rainy, ugly day for us. Well at least that’s how it looks when you look out the window.  Two things you can do on a rainy day that you need to be productive on; number one, let it get you down and gloomy, or number two look at it as just another sunny day wanting you to do your best so you can go enjoy the rest of the day! Yes, rainy days can bring you down, but don’t let them. Today lets talk about it.

The trick to rainy days is easy, just don’t pay attention to the fact that it is ugly out. You can’t change the weather so don’t let it change your mood. Many times we allow outside sources like the rain overtake our mood. Have a grumpy coworker who likes to bring everyone down? Do you let them? If you do then they are no different then the rain to you. Why let the weather or a coworker bring you down? Or is that just an excuse you like to use?

Thing is, the world is beautiful why let something outside of your own world bring you down so much that you are grumpy to? Makes no sense at all. What you should try to do is ignore the negative feedback, like the rain. Don’t let the Debbie downers destroy your day or life. Yes bad news will happen that you can’t ignore but for the everyday drama, just let it go. There’s no need that the rain can’t look like sunshine all the time.

Rejecting the down side rain is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!

Sunny Monday

Look what you done to poor Monday.. 😦

Good morning to all my favorite readers out there in cyberspace. I don’t know what it is like in your place in the world, but today here in my world it is sunny. This is a pretty big week for some people, some would even say it’s a super week. That’s right, the Superbowl is right around the corner and it’s time to kick off the Superbowl week with a bang!

Monday’s who loves em? I DO!!!! You should too! No, stop crying on Facebook about how Monday’s are so bad and how you hate getting up for it. Why do you hate Monday? Because you’re weekend ended and you had to leave the house for work? Okay, that doesn’t sound bad. In fact it sounds good, because you got to get up today, get dress, and out the door to start a new work week. For some that is a major dream and desire right now.

Even if you are looking at rain or snow right now here on Monday, ignore it and find the sun. The trick with Monday’s is as I stated in past blogs, the trick is to embrace it and have this mark how your week will be. If you start it off with a bang each and every week, you know what? The rest of your week should be pretty darn good.

Now, I know this maybe a lot of energy for you early on a Monday, but you may need it. No don’t send over  a message about how much you hate Mondays, because none of them will ever make sense to me. The thing is everyone complains about Monday and really it’s just like a Tuesday or a Thursday. Is it Friday or Saturday, no, but it is a day that helps us start the week off right.

Monday also gives us meaning to get up and do our job. This allows us to be productive citizens in our respected countries. We get up, get ready, go to school or work, and do what we need to do to make the world better. It’s the sunrise of the week and it should be seen as beautiful, because it is your day to shine!

Having a sunny Monday every Monday is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!

Enjoying the Sun

Spread your arms wide open!

In 2011, here in the city I live of Lexington, KY it was named the wettest year on record. That being said, we didn’t see a lot of sun this past year, though we had some beautiful days. It was a trick that we had to do to find the sun through the rain clouds, it was called just finding the sun.

Like the wettest year on record history for Kentucky, many people see every year as their rainfall. It’s sometimes hard to see the sun out there in this crazy world. If you are one of those people who can’t seem to grab the sun everyday. When the sun comes for you, enjoy it! Spread your arms out wide and let the sun’s warmth consume you.

As much as I can tell you how to always find the sun, sometimes it truly is hard when you are slammed with bad weather all the time. It may seem that the rain just doesn’t stop, but it will. Trust me, as you embrace the beautiful weather when it comes this life will become easier. As you embrace the sun, you will notice the rain clouds go further away with each passing day.

Just think if you embrace the good aka the sun, your life can be so much easier. Instead of embracing the drama of the rain, allow the sun to shine for you. Embrace it and take control of your weather!

Don’t Let the Rain Takeover

Fend em off

You know how sometimes the weather outside can affect your mood? Same is for how people in your life affect you. This goes from your coworkers in your office to your family and friends in you every day life.  Today, lets discuss this and see how to make sure we don’t let the outside world take over our everyday life.

Lets start off with an example today about this topic. Say you are at work,  your boss comes in all stressed, because he or she is annoyed with something that is happening at home. She/he then turns around to take it out on you and your team. She/he yells, points fingers, and slams doors. This probably doesn’t help you feel better about yourself, huh? How do we handle days like this?

Here’s the trick to surviving issues like the one above with your boss or anyone else who does this. Block it out, just because they can’t handle their emotions doesn’t mean it should ruin your day. Ignore what they are doing, just nod and smile if they are going on a rant. Be there for them, but don’t take the abuse. If they attack you personally, make sure to leave before you say something you regret. Just focus on what you have to do for the day and what makes you happy.

Thing is, misery loves company a lot, the more the merrier for them. Most people who are upset don’t know how to handle their emotions and lash out quickly without thinking. They may not even realize they are hurting people they care for.  You can fight back and have a giant yelling match or you can be the bigger person and go okay, that’s how want to handle it than handle it that way. Just don’t let them bring you to their level.

It’s easy to fall into someone’s downward spiral and get involved in their every day drama. That I am truly aware of, but you can fight it with your positive attitude and holding your head up high. It’s hard, but it can be done. It’s almost human nature to try to bring people down when you’re upset, because you want people to feel crappy like you. Remember that, next time your boss or best friend comes in slamming everything around and having a little hissy.

Not falling into the drama of others is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!

Surviving the Weather

Hold Tight!!

Our life is like the weather, unpredictable and hard to prepare for. We are all ever-changing beings, no matter what you think. No one can really predict how the day will go and where it will leave when it ends. Sure, we like to say this and that is going to happen, but the factors can come in and change it all. How do we handle this when our bright sunny day get hits with a freak snow storm?

The trick is to always expect the unexpected. Enjoy the craziness of the weather you have coming your way. Enjoy the great moments and smile when things get bad. Think of the weather as always changing and if it’s bad today, well then like Annie said “The sun will come out tomorrow.”

Everyday things happen for the good and for the bad. The trick is not to dwell on the rain clouds and focus on the sunshine. The only way to get out of your rainy day funk is to look for the sun. It’s there hiding, even in a middle of a blizzard, the sun is up there and when it shines down on your beautiful world life will be great.

Focusing on the sunny days is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!

The Pot of Gold

Rain, Rain, go away come again another day, everybody’s waiting for the sun! Well at least that’s how it feels here in Lexington, KY. Seems like the ark should be formed and we should float away onto a new world. The great thing about rain is the rainbow waiting at the end of the storm. Today, I was dropping my car off at the service place. Getting out of my car, there was this beautiful brilliant color rainbow in front of me. Made all the rain in the past few days worth it.

Just like in life, your days can be horrible with no sun in sight. Then it happens, that one moment, the sun appears out of the clouds for you to see that tiny or large rainbow. Means good things are coming to you, no matter what you think and how bad it looks. There is always a rainbow waiting to come out for you and lead you to the pot gold that seems lost.

Why waste your time upset about the rain and focusing on the rain drops. Who cares if you don’t have the cash? Who cares if you aren’t where you want to be in life yet? Is it really that bad, that you don’t have a million dollars or super successful? No it doesn’t matter, but what does matter is what you are doing about it. You can go into the corner and ball up to cry in your knees or you can stand up tall, look up towards the sky, wipe the tears/rain away from your face, and take on your storm.

No matter who you are, there will be doubt, hate, fear, etc. It’s how we handle it that defines us. The rainbow is there and you may have to fight through the rain, snow, sleet, hail, and ice. Don’t give in, fight through it because that rainbow will lead you to the pot of gold you have been looking for. Just hold tight and muscle through it.

Taking your time to find your gold is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!

The Rain Will End

The Sun Is Always Shining!

At times it seems the rain is never-ending, the down pour just keeps coming with small moments of sun, followed by more rain. It’s hard when it seems like the world never stops raining on you. How do we face these storms?  When will they end? Why does it happen to you?

All of these are normal questions, the storms make us feel broken, lost, confused, and sometimes blind to the positive affects the rain will bring you. Yes, it is ugly out right now for you maybe, but that’s okay. Things do get better and you will get better, trust me on this.

The thing is, the rain is only here for a moment’s time, yes it seems like it will rain forever, but it has to end one day. The trick is to see the world as a sunny place, find the rays of sunshine hiding in the clouds. They are there and when you find them they will start clearing away the rest of the rain clouds.

Look at the sun as towering over your rain clouds, you may not see it, but the sun is always there just hiding some times behind the clouds. You just have to see that small little ray peaking through, that ray of sunshine is meant for you. Embrace it, build on it, and help it break through clouds that cover its beauty.

The rain will always come and go, but the sun will never leave you fully. The sun is right there and never leaving your side. Even through all the dark clouds, it still shines bright. Just remember that when it rains, the sun is hiding up there for you, waiting to be found.

Finding the sun on a raining day is key in this Savage World; that you are no longer just living in, but beginning to own!
